Both a zoo and a botanical garden, this space is dedicated to nature and was opened in 1977. This is now one of the most popular natural parks in the region. Through the years, it expanded and now covered almost 60,000 square metres of land. This huge green space offers areas displaying exotic flora, native flora and a spectacular zoo with species from all over the world. Years ago, they also opened the Quaternary Park, which is an educational space dedicated to the species that lived in Santillana del Mar during the Quaternary period, which saw the first vestiges of animal life.
