Despite a lot of history and ancient art, the Andalusian city also offers a centre dedicated to contemporary art and this is called the 'Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo' (Andalusian Contemporary Art Centre), which is located in the 'Monasterio de la Cartuja de Santa María de Las Cuevas' which is situated on the other side of the canal named 'canal de Alfonso XIII', in the district of 'Triana'. The centre opened in 1998 and international artists have exhibited their works here such as Ai Weiwei, Lotty Rosenfeld, Agnès Varda and Bruce Nauman, or Spanish artists like Guillermo Perez Villalta and Lara Almarcegui. They also organize cultural activities. Come to the 'Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo' and show all your artistic flair!
