Very near to the spectacular Maria Luisa Park, this theatre has been the setting for big shows of opera, dance and theatre etc. Vicente Traver was the architect who designed the 'Lope de Vega' theatre with a neo-Baroque eclectic style. Its construction began in 1927 and finished two years later. You'll see that the theatre has a dome which is currently the grand foyer. Among its listings, you'll see plays by Calderón de la Barca, Diego Velázquez de Puerco or plays by Shakespeare. This theatre is a classic in Seville.
