Although restored, this hotel has been closed for years. Still, don't miss the chance to see it for yourself, as this legendary place is where Delacroix and Matisse used to stay whenever they visited the city. The latter, in fact, regarded Tangier as his paradise, as its special light and characteristic blue sky were ideal for his work. One of his most famous paintings, 'Paysage Vu d'une Fenêtre' was painted from one of the rooms of this beautiful and historic hotel.
