Colombus Market
A century-old Art Nouveau gem that after a 2003 restoration is a popular foodie wonderland
Valencia's other historic public market
Working in the Modernisme (Art Nouveau) idiom, Valencian Francisco de Mora Berenguer was one of the most influential architects of early-20th-century Spain, and his Mercat de Colón, built a little farther out from the Old Town around the same time as the Mercat Central, is another of Valencia's most recognisable landmarks. Rising in red brick with soaring arches, it was restored in 2003 and is now another foodie playground highly popular with locals.
