This is one of the most popular tourist spots in the city, especially during the summer and on cruise days, as it is right in the middle of the port area. Although the market and its stalls are currently closed, this hasn't affected the famous atmosphere of the Calle de las Ostras: there's no better place in Vigo for sampling its most iconic dish. The street is lined with stalls selling oysters to eat on the go; alternatively, the bustling terrace bars also serve up a great selection of oysters and other tasty seafood, accompanied by excellent, local wine and, at times, traditional Galician music. It is an ideal place for pre-dinner drinks or for kicking off a romantic evening in style.
