Iberia celebrates 95 years of life!

During all these years we have connected people from all over the world

On June 28, 1927, the charter of Iberia was signed by the vasque businessman Horacio Echebarrieta. At that time, commercial aviation was flying through the skies with three-engine aircraft with a capacity for just ten passengers and a top speed of 205 km/h.

Today, 95 years later, the company has a fleet of 75 state-of-the-art aircraft. In addition, the Iberia Group offers nearly 150 destinations in 50 countries around the world.

But despite the changes, our reason for being, what identifies us as an airline and is in our DNA, remains the same as it was on day one: to generate prosperity by connecting people with the world. And we have shown that, thanks to the effort and work of all Iberia employees, not even the greatest crisis in the history of commercial aviation can erase our history, present or future. Here's to another 95 years full of life!
