This summer, fly with Iberia to Faro and Punta Delgada
The company increases capacity with Portugal by 18 per cent
For the summer season, Iberia has scheduled more than 730,000 seats with Portugal, 18% more than in 2019, and specifically in August, the month with the most activity, it has scheduled up to 79 weekly frequencies for travel to the Lusitanian country.
In this way, Iberia will resume summer routes to Portugal, operating direct flights to Faro (from June to September) and Punta Delgada (from July to September).
Iberia will start its operation with Faro in June with three weekly frequencies and, in August, the Spanish airline will increase its capacity to a daily flight that will be operated by Iberia Regional/Air Nostrum with a CRJ1000, with capacity for 100 passengers.
In July it will be the turn of the flights with Punta Delgada, a route that Iberia will offer with up to three weekly flights - on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays - until September. The route will be operated by an A320, with capacity for 180 passengers.
These destinations are added to the company's regular operations with Portugal, with direct flights to Lisbon, Porto and Funchal. In Lisbon, Iberia will offer up to six flights a day in August, while in Porto it will offer up to four a day, almost twice as many as last year.
In addition, Iberia has recently added Funchal to its regular route map. This destination started as a seasonal route, but last winter it consolidated its operation throughout the year. Iberia offers three weekly frequencies with Madeira airport which, in August, will increase to a daily flight.
