Iberia customers can now order in-flight meals from their sea
The service is available on short-haul and medium-haul flights.
Iberia has launched the Gastrobar@seat service as part of its commitment to constantly improving the customer experience. Thanks to this new service, airline customers can order from the à la carte menu from their seats using their mobile devices. Simply scan the QR code, located on the seats, to access the Iberia WiFi portal and, from there, the Gastrobar@seat service where they can select the products they want to consume on board.
The information is sent directly to the cabin crew, who prepare the food and serve it to the customer's seat conveniently and simply. At the time of delivery, the passenger makes the payment. Gastrobar@seat service is available on all Iberia short and medium-haul flights.
On 1 December, Iberia's Gastrobar menu will be revamped with the addition of several new items, including the return of the classic ham and cheese sandwich and the Croque Monsieur in a new version with brioche bread, Serrano ham and truffled bechamel sauce. Customers can also order a Spanish omelette which can be served hot or cold or the Adventurer's Box designed for the little ones which includes applesauce, a Kinder egg and cheese with bread sticks and crips.
The hot drinks menu includes a Starbucks hot chocolate and cold drinks such as Red Bull zero, lemon Fuze Tea or berries Kombucha. The wine list is completed with a new premium brand, Ramón Bilbao.
There is also a new Pre-order menu with novelties such as the mellow rice presented in a paella pan that customers can take home as a souvenir and reuse, and new main dishes such as sweet potato with pesto sauce or cheek meat with orange sauce. And, for dessert, a raspberry tartlet.
