A collection of dolls, a library and workshops for the little ones. What more could you want?
A real paradise for kids
Not very well know, even among the locals; this is one of the capital's best kept secrets. The Children's Museum ticks all the boxes for a visit if you’re travelling with children: unbeatable surroundings (the luscious Beyrouth park), a pretty Moorish building and a range of exhibitions and activities that will delight the youngest members of the family. It has a fun collection of dolls in traditional clothing from around the world, a library with comics and children's books and "works of art" by children themselves. Over the year, it also organises theatre, painting and calligraphy workshops designed for children to learn as they play. This is the only museum of its kind in the country and there are very few like it on the entire African continent. It opened in 1965. Enjoy!
