Its engravings and numismatic pieces are royally famous.
The crown of Montjuic.
At the top of Montjuic, crowning the park, is this striking building. This is the Catalonian National Art Museum. This eclectic historical revival was inaugurated as a museum in 1929. Its façade is a mixture of elements from several artistic trends, from Renaissance to Baroque. Inside, its collection covers every period of art, from the point of view, and with the influence of the Catalonian community. Famous for its exhibitions of engravings and numismatic pieces, the permanent collection here requires more than one visit to cover.
