Excursion to Ras El Ma
A Moroccan coastal town with gorgeous beaches and friendly people.
"Cape of Water"
Known in Spanish as Cabo de Agua (which translates into English as "Cape of Water"), Ras el Ma is a Moroccan coastal town of just 5,000 souls, famous for its beaches of fine golden sand, its diving rocks, and the friendliness of its people, who regularly welcome visitors from Melilla and elsewhere, especially on weekends. Accommodations are available in town, such as the Alberge Cap de L'Eau, and there are various eateries specialising in freshly-caught seafood. If you're looking for a more full-service hotel-and-resort zone, some 20 kilometres (12 miles) out of town you'll find the immense, luxurious Mediterrania Saidia complex which should fit the bill perfectly, with various properties, a medina with more than 40 businesses, and a selection of golf courses.
