Miterrand was a regular here. French cuisine in one of the capital’s most famous brasseries.
On the Boulevard de Saint-Germain you’ll find one of the most renowned brasseries in the whole city. The Brasserie Lipp is a long-standing favourite amongst popular artists, writers, journalist and actors. Suffice to say its illustrious clientele includes none other than Françoise Mitterrand, elected President of the French Republic in 1981. Serving French cuisine in a classic, decadent and typically Parisian dining room, the restaurant dates back to 1880. It is open from 9am to 1pm and the average price per person is around 50 euros. Don’t be surprised to find you’ll have to wait for a table if you haven’t booked in advance.
