An old grocery shop that maintains its spirit, so that you can have a glass of wine and a bite to eat.
In the district of Macarena, this grocery shop used to take up a part of the ground floor of the old 17th century house, but it ended up occupying the whole building some time later. 'Abacerías' were small grocery shops where food products were sold on a small scale and where sellers would offer you products to try that were on sale. Sometimes these samples were accompanied with a glass of wine. When you enter the 'Antigua Abacería de San Lorenzo', you will actually see that the place and its decoration still preserve the elements of traditional shops: shelving with food products; an old scale, and display cabinets with pulse and local products. This restaurant keeps the concept of a traditional shop, serving red and white wines, cold meats, cheeses, pisto, mussels, or more filling dishes like golden cod, mushrooms with noodles or potato scramble, and all of these are at unbeatable prices. Their dishes are around 6-12 € and a glass of wine is around 2 €.
