Ticket cancellation pursuant to Israeli Consumer Protection Law 1981
Only for tickets purchased by an individual in Israel in a "long-distance sales transaction" as defined in the Israeli Consumer Protection Law, 1981, tickets may be cancelled by notice in writing:
• Within fourteen days of the date of purchase or of receipt of a document containing the details listed in article 14C(b) - whichever is later; and
• At least seven days, not being days of rest, before the date of departure.
In such case, the cancellation fee shall be equal to 5% of the price of the ticket or NIS 100, whichever is lower. Otherwise cancellation fees as per fare rule will apply.
Likewise, a ticket purchased by an individual in Israel who is a "disabled person", a "senior citizen" or a "new immigrant" in a "long-distance sales transaction" according to the definitions of these terms as set out in the Israeli Consumer Protection Law, 1981, may be cancelled by notice in writing:
• Within four months of the date of purchase or of receipt of a document containing the details listed in article 14C(b) - whichever is later; and
• At least seven days, not being days of rest, before the date of departure.
This will apply solely on transactions which included a conversation between the dealer and the consumer (including a conversation by means of electronic communication). In such case, the cancellation fee shall be equal to 5% of the price of the ticket or NIS 100, whichever is lower. Otherwise cancellation fees as per fare rule will apply.
