A museum of García Lorca's life and times, as well as one of Granada's most prestigious cultural magnets.
Spain's most famous poet (also a noted playwright) gets his due at his family's summer home, now a museum.
The Lorca family summer home in Huerta de San Vicente is today a museum dedicated to the life and times of the reknowned poet/playwright (1898-1936), known for iconic works such as The House of Bernarda Alba and A Poet in New York. Visits are guided in small groups, for 3 minutes apiece, and guides will tailor them to any particular interests visitors may have. Sundry events and activities are also organised, including exhibitions, concerts, poetry and book readings, and theatre works - making this a leading cultural magnet in Granada.
