Jaén Museum of Popular Arts and Customs
This museum puts special focus on traditional rural life, from working the fields to playing with yo-yos.
A window into the traditional life of the common people.
Instead of the great events and personages of history, and high arts and culture, the Museo de Artes y Costumbres Populares de Jaén is all about the lives and practices of the region's regular people, particularly in rural areas. Various halls are themed with various subject matter, such as working in the fields, displaying tools such as those used for harvesting olives and making bread. Also covered is weaving and pig slaughter, and there's a particularly interesting section devoted to childhood, including dolls, school desks, games, and toys.
