Reinaldo Dorta Déniz Crafts Workshop
The town of Haría encourages the maintenance of traditional trades and crafts, which are in danger if the know-how is not handed down to new generations by the old-timers. To that end, the town hall has opened the Taller Reinaldo Dorta Déniz on Calle Barranco de Tenesía, next door to the town's main food market, and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday. Here the venerable arts of pottery making, macramé, weaving, basket weaving, and others are taught and demonstrated, using traditional techniques to produce both traditional and contemporary designs. You can, of course, also browse a fine selection of all the above at the on-premises shop.
