Majorcan fry (fergit mallorquí)
A great place to try a typical island dish, down by the port of Palma
A classic Majorcan dish
Amid the mix of cobblestone streets and treelined boulevards around Palma's Passeig Maritim, you'll come across plenty of eateries, and for a particular island speciality, fergit mallorquí (Majorcan fry), a great place on Rambla Ducs de Palma is Bodega La Rambla, which specialises in local cooking. It's a dish made from potatoes, onions, tomatoes, red peppers, chilli peppers, and local vegetables, often mixed with various forms of meat and fish.
