San Sebastián Surfing
Ideal for gliding on your surfboard or watching the waves.
A perfect plan for surfers.
La Zurriola, Ondarreta and La Concha: these are San Sebastián's three beaches. The furthest from the centre and most exposed to the Cantabrian Sea? La Zurriola. That's why it used to be the least visited. However, a breakwater was built in the 90s to stop the sea from crashing in. That made the beach easier to swim at and it became the epicentre of surfing activity in Donostia-San Sebastián. And that's saying a lot because numerous championships are organised on these beaches. If you also like jazz, don't miss the concerts at the Jazzaldia summer festival, one of the most important in the world.
