The craft of northwest Tenerife's potters - one of the island's oldest crafts traditions - dates back to time immemorial, a blend of aboriginal Guanche tradition and that of Spain and other influences. A world of legends, rituals and myths revolve around these ceramics, and their capital is the town of La Masca, tucked away in the mountains of Teno, where artisans continue to craft these works of art by hand day after day - and they'll be happy to share with you the lore behind each piece and design.
