A non-profit museum documenting the intriguing tale of this beloved patriot.
Stories of spies... and silver
Born in Boston, Paul Revere (1735-1818) was a famous silversmith and patriot who fought in the American War of Independence. A very popular figure, he is remembered for his vital role as a messenger in the battles of Lexington and Concord, and for his espionage work to control the movements and advances of British troops. If you’re a fan of Contemporary History, no doubt you’ll have heard of the legendary “Midnight Ride”, thanks to which Paul Revere is recognised all over the country as an unequivocal symbol of patriotism. His house has now been converted into a non-profit museum, which you can visit at 19 North Square. www.paulreverehouse.org
