Carouge at its best.
Open in 1984 thanks to the donation made by the Geneva painter Emile Chambon to the city, this museum -located in Carouge- is exclusively devoted to the town's heritage. Always in relation with local traditions, they also organise temporary exhibitions about life in the city. Set in a typically picturesque house, its back garden is very popular among visitors as the perfect place to rest after the visit. Depending on the season, the museum organises its exhibitions around specific themes: while spring is the season for concerts, exhibitions, storytelling and conferences, summer is devoted exclusively to botanics. Autumn is the season of the International Ceramics Competition and during the winter, the museum showcases the work of local artists.
