The timeless crème de la crème of Parisian cabaret. An authentic Belle Époque show to remember.
The mythical “red windmill”
This is, without a doubt, the most famous Parisian cabaret. A trip to the Moulin Rouge is practically obligatory for all first-time visitors to the capital. In the last decade, its fame has been largely revived by the 2001 film Moulin Rouge!, starring Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman. It can be found in the red light district of Pigalle, very close to Montmartre. As the name suggests, a large red windmill welcomes you into its world of bohemian performances, evoking the Belle Époque at the start of the 20th century. The history of the Moulin Rouge dates back to 1889 when its journey began in the hands of Spaniard Josep Oller. During its golden years even Edith Piaf performed at the Moulin Rouge. Today, as well as catching one of the cabaret shows you can also have dinner and drinks at the bar. Visit the official website at www.moulinrouge.fr.
