Named in honour of the red sandstone and clay that shape Asunción, in a small period of time the Tierra Colorada (Coloured Earth) restaurant has become a top culinary location for the most demanding stomachs. Run by the famous chef Rodolfo Angenscheidt (star of tv cookery shows) since 2010, Tierra Colorada specializes in innovative Paraguayan cuisine with a touch of fusion, influenced by the chef's French training. Its owner's mission is to promote traditional recipes from Paraguay to the category of delicatessen, as demonstrated by its extensive wine lists, elaborate dishes such as truffle risotto, tenderloin with blue cheese sauce, lamb cooked for 16 hours so it melts in the mouth, or delicious desserts created using local fruits. It is advisable to book beforehand to avoid disappointment. Ideal for private or corporate events.
