As well as the Berber settlements, don't miss the Setti Fatma waterfalls.
Find out how the ancient Berbers used to live
Fruit trees, orchards and crops, but also ancient Berber settlements and the ruins of powerful forts make up the landscape of the rocky Ourika Valley. Located 70 km south west of Marrakesh, it features a privileged viewpoint for admiring the High Atlas Mountains in all their splendour. In a day trip you will have time to get to know the picturesque area of Setti Fatma and the nearby Ourika waterfalls. If you fancy discovering what life was like for the Berbers, you can visit some of the homes of the villagers themselves and you may be invited in for a cup of tea in exchange for buying a typical handicraft item. To gain a closer insight into the area's most characteristic trade, stop by at one of its famous traditional markets, such as Ourika, Asni and Aghbalou.
