Delight in the images of the riches of ancient Marrakesh
A focus on the past
An unusual place to discover the city is undoubtedly at this photography house which exhibits original images taken in Morocco between 1870 and 1950. When selecting the photos that hang from its walls, its fundamental criteria is that each and every one of them breathes the wealth and complexity of the country's culture, traditions, landscape, scenery and ways of life. It hosts conferences, screens documentaries about Morocco and functions as a documentation centre. On its terrace, with vistas of the city and the Atlas Mountains, you can savour a snack. La Maison de la Photographie de Marrakech is located close to the Ben Youssef Madrasa, opens from 9.00 to 19.00 and admission is from 40 dirhams. Find out more at www.maisondelaphotographie.ma.
