Enjoy the 'pintxos' culture, you'll come back for more and you won't have time to try them all.
Pintxos' (tapas) in Pamplona.
The extensive 'pintxos' (tapas) bar at 'Bar Gaucho', which is located next to the square named 'Plaza del Castillo', will make you want to go several times during your stay in the city, if you want to taste the wide range of snacks. Awarded several times in Pamplona's 'Pintxo' week, people speak wonders of their foie speciality, as well as the Sea Urchin 'pintxo' with bechamel, garlic mushrooms or smoked eel with tomato; all this at prices which are suitable for all budgets (with tapas from 2 euros), but the price increases if you're going to try several of them. On weekends, at the time of the 'poteo' (when the 'pintxos' are served), this place gets really packed, so it can be difficult to reach the bar among so many people. If you manage to arrive in time to get a table and you don't mind the masses of people, this is your place.
