La Concha Beach
Discover this beach and you will end up falling in love with San Sebastián.
Look ahead and see the Island of Santa Clara. On the right, the Sailing Club and the trees in the Alderdi Eder Gardens. On the left, the Miramar Palace and Mount Igeldo, overlooking the Playa de Ondarreta. If you see this beautiful painting, you are already in paradise: the Playa de la Concha. You can wander along a kilometre of fine white sand. If you decide to take a swim, you will feel safe because the coast curves into almost a full circle, protecting you from the wild Cantabrian Sea. Of course, we must pay attention to the tides that, depending on the seasons, leave little room for bathers. The people of Donostia celebrate having this magical spot. A curious fact: Alfonso XIII chose to spend his summer at this beach.
