Your Iberia Plus Gold card

During the validity period of your Oro Card, Iberia Plus will give you 25% more Avios, calculated from your real number of flight miles for Flexible Tourist class and higher. For Discount Tourist classes (Basic and Classical), these are calculated based on the Avios obtained by the flight.
In flights under 500 miles, the calculation is based on this amount in Flexible Tourist class and higher and based on 250 or 125 miles (O, P, Q classes) in the rest of the Tourist Class rates.
 
This applies to all flights that qualify for earning Elite Points in Grupo Iberia, British Airways, Finnair, and American Airlines. This also applies to certain Vueling flights.

As an Iberia Plus Gold cardholder, we offer you this exclusive service (at available airports) both for yourself and your guest whenever you take a flight operated by the Iberia Group and/or marketed by Iberia.
Plus, when your flight is operated by the Iberia Group (Iberia, Iberia Express and Iberia Regional/Air Nostrum), you can access with guests under the age of 18 travelling with you.

Your Iberia Plus Gold card lets you access any Iberia VIP lounge around the world if your flight is operated by Iberia Group and/or marketed by Iberia. Your guest can only access it if his or her flight meets the same conditions and/or the guest has a boarding pass from a oneworld company for that day.
When your flight is operated by the Iberia Group (Iberia, Iberia Express and Iberia Regional/Air Nostrum), you can access the lounge with children under 18 travelling with you (except at the airport in London-LHR).

Plus, when you travel on a oneworld flight, you and your guest will have access to some 650 VIP lounges around the world. Your guest must have a boarding pass from a oneworld company for that day. For more information and conditions see here.

When you fly with Iberia Group (Iberia, Iberia Regional Air Nostrum and Iberia Express), we offer you a free parking service at Madrid and Barcelona airports.

Your Iberia Plus Gold card allows you to access the Preferential Care Points, doing away with waits and making all your procedures easier: ticket purchases, connecting flights and baggage information.

These counters are located in the Iberia Sales Offices in cities and airports in Spain and abroad, as well as in the arrivals lounges of Madrid and Barcelona airports.

Your Iberia Plus Gold card offers you an allowance of 1 additional piece of baggage of up to 23 kg on tickets with an allowance of 0 or 1 pieces on all Iberia Group routes an on international oneworld flights as a Sapphire customer.
Plus you can benefit from extra weight of up to 32 kg per suitcase.

As an Iberia Plus Oro member, all sports equipment and musical instruments are included in your baggage allowance for all flights operated by the Iberia Group (Iberia, Iberia Regional Air Nostum and Iberia Express) at no additional cost, provided that you do not exceed the allowance.

Whenever you book a full-fare flight and identify yourself as an Iberia Plus Gold customer, we will carry out all the steps involved on flights that are full to guarantee you a seat in Full Economy class up to 24 hours before the flight. If for some reason this booking could not be made, you will be offered a priority place on the Business waiting list or the alternative that best meets your requirements.

* Valid for flights with the IB code and operated by Grupo Iberia with an elegible rate to obtain Avios and Elite Points.

Your Iberia Plus Gold card allows you to check your baggage at any of the exclusively Business, regardless of the class you have booked.

Valid for flights operated and marketed by a oneworld member airline. (Marketed means the flight number of the oneworld member airline should appear on the ticket).

With the Iberia Plus Programme, whenever you travel on flights operated by Grupo Iberia or oneworld, you can do so in full comfort. Enter your preferences and we will assign you a seat to your liking whenever there is a chance.

As a beneficiary of the Iberia Plus Programme you get Avios according to your card level each time you fly with the oneworld alliance. And being a Gold cardholder entitles you to all the advantages of oneworld Sapphire as well:

• - Preferential check-in at Business counters.
• - Preference for choosing your seat (where available).
• - Priority wait-listed at the airport.
• - Access to Business Class VIP Lounges.
• - Priority boarding

If you are pregnant, have recently given birth or are in the process of adopting a child, you won't lose your Iberia Plus level even though you take fewer flights during the year.
To extend the validity of your card for an additional period, all you need to do is prove that you are on maternity leave by emailing a copy of your medical report or maternity leave certificate (also valid for the other parent) to baby@iberia.es. Once we have verified your document, we will destroy it for your safety and will send you an email confirming the renewal of your card level.

The application period is from the date of the medical report confirming your pregnancy until six months after the birth of your child, the court ruling in cases of adoption or guardianship, or the date of the administrative or court decision in cases of fostering.

We offer you the possibility of buying a seat in Business or Economy on Iberia flights (classes I/V) and Iberia Regional Air Nostrum (class I/S) if the number of seats that can be charged to Avios has been filled. You will have to pay double the number of Avios that this leg in the chosen class would cost you.

Now, as an Iberia Plus Oro customer, if you get off a flight* that lasted more than 4 hours, you can enjoy an exclusive new space when you arrive at Madrid-Barajas airport's Terminal 4.
