Your Iberia Plus Platinum card

With your Platinum card, Iberia Plus gives you double Avios, calculated on real miles flown. When you fly less than 500 miles, the percentage will be applied to 500 miles.

Starting January 1, 2014, the calculation will be applied to flights that qualify for Elite Points in Iberia Group, British Airways and Finnair and in certain Vueling and American Airlines flights.

You are entitled to two free upgrades to Business class while your card is valid, subject to availability, from Flexible Tourist Rate (classes Y, H and B) in flights operated by Grupo Iberia. These can be requested from the time you reserve your original ticket up to 24 hours before flight departure. If you cancel a flight within 24 hours of its scheduled departure time, the upgrade will not be reimbursed and will be considered to have been used.

Your Iberia Plus Platinum Card lets you enjoy a special and exclusive limousine service for transfers between the airport and the cities of Barcelona, Madrid, Santiago de Chile, Buenos Aires, Mexico City and Sao Paulo, so long as you travel with a full Business Class fare on intercontinental flights operated by Iberia* (including trips with the flight charged to Avios).

In Spain, this service can be requested from your Platinum Service Centre (tickets for obtaining and using points). Outside of Spain, for tickets using Avios, call your Iberia Plus Service Centre and, for full fare tickets, see your Iberia Office or travel agent. (Requests for this service should be made at least 72 hours before flight departure or arrival).

So long as you book a full fare ticket and identify yourself as an Iberia Plus Platinum customer, we will carry out all the procedures needed on full flights, to guarantee you a seat in Economy Full class up to 24 hours before your flight. If the booking could not be made for some reason, Iberia will priority wait-list you in Business Class or the alternative that best suits you.

* Valid for flights with the IB code and operated by Grupo Iberia with an elegible rate to obtain Avios and Elite Points.

Exclusive services which makes pre-boarding procedures easier for our VIP customers and enables them to board the aircraft more quickly.

As an Iberia Plus Platinum cardholder, we offer you this exclusive service (at available airports) both for yourself and your guest whenever you take a flight operated by the Iberia Group (Iberia, Iberia Express and Iberia Regional/Air Nostrum) and/or marketed by Iberia. At the Fast Track service in Madrid or Barcelona you can access it flying with any company. In this case, your guest must be flying on the same flight.
Plus, when your flight is operated by the Iberia Group, you can access with guests under the age of 18 travelling with you.

With the Iberia Plus Programme, whenever you travel on flights operated by Grupo Iberia or oneworld, you can do so in full comfort. List your preferences and we'll be happy to give your the best seat for you whenever possible.

Your Iberia Plus Platinum card allows you to check your baggage at any of the exclusively Business counters, regardless of the class you have booked.

Valid for flights operated and marketed by a oneworld member airline (marketed means the flight number of the oneworld member airline should appear on the ticket).

With your Iberia Plus Platinum card you are eligible for automatic credit of up to 22,500 Avios so you can enjoy any service in the Programme whenever you want and without having to worry about the balance of your personal account.

The maximum negative balance you can have in your personal account is -22,500 Avios.

Your Iberia Plus Platinum card allows you to access the Preferential Care Points, avoiding waits and making all the procedures you perform with Iberia easier, including: ticket purchases, connecting flights and baggage information.

These counters are located in the Iberia Sales Offices in cities and airports in Spain and abroad, as well as in the arrivals lounges of Madrid and Barcelona airports.

Your Iberia Plus Platino card grants you access to any of the VIP Lounges Iberia offers around the world if your flight is operated by the Iberia Group (Iberia, Iberia Express and Iberia Regional/Air Nostrum) and/or marketed by Iberia. Your guest can access it if his/her flight meets the same conditions and/or the guest has a boarding pass from a company oneworld for the same day.
When your flight is operated by the Iberia Group, you can access these lounges with your children, provided they are travelling with you (except in the London airport- LHR).
You will also have free access along with a guest to the VIP Lounges offered by Iberia when travelling on flights operated and marketed by Vueling (Madrid, Barcelona, Frankfurt and Paris-Orly airports). In this case, your companion must fly on the same flight.
Also, when you travel on a flight of any oneworld member airline, you and your companion will have nearly 650 VIP Lounges (First and Business Class) available to you around the world.

As an Iberia Plus Platino customer, you have access to the American Airlines and British Airways VIP Arrival Lounges at London Heathrow when flying with them on flights from the United States, Mexico and Puerto Rico.

Iberia Platino customers, oneworld Emerald, benefit from extra baggage allowance when they travel on flights operated by any of the companies in the oneworld Alliance. Our Platinum customers can check one additional piece of baggage for free, regardless of the class flown.
On flights operated by the Iberia Group, you can also benefit from extra weight of up to 32 kg per suitcase.

As an Iberia Plus Platino member, all sports equipment and musical instruments are included in your baggage allowance for all flights operated by the Iberia Group (Iberia, Iberia Regional Air Nostum and Iberia Express) at no additional cost, provided that you do not exceed the allowance.

When you fly with Iberia Group (Iberia, Iberia Regional Air Nostrum and Iberia Express), we offer you a free parking service at Madrid and Barcelona airports.

You will be exempt from surcharges for credit card payment for all the tickets you purchase via Iberia.com and the Service Centre. Neither you will pay any handling charges for issues, changes and refunds on commercial tickets and tickets charged to Avios in your Service Centre.

If you earn 12,500 Elite Points in one Iberia Plus year (from 1 April to 31 March of the following year), you will be able to give an Iberia Plus Oro card to anyone you want. This Oro card will be valid for one year and non-transferable until it expires, at which time the beneficiary will obtain the card level earned by the accumulated Elite Points or flights. The maximum number of Oro cards that can be assigned per member and Iberia Plus year is one.

As a beneficiary of the Iberia Plus Programme you get Avios according to your card level each time you fly with the oneworld alliance. And being an Iberia Plus Platinum cardholder entitles you to the advantages of oneworld emerald:

• - Preference for choosing your seat (where available).
• - Priority wait-listed at the airport.
• - Access to Business Class VIP lounges.
• - Priority boarding.
• - Get through security control quickly.
• - Maximum extra baggage allowance.
• - Access to preferential check-in in First Class.
• - Access to the First Class VIP lounges.

If you are pregnant, have recently given birth or are in the process of adopting a child, you won't lose your Iberia Plus level even though you take fewer flights during the year.
To extend the validity of your card for an additional period, all you need to do is prove that you are on maternity leave by emailing a copy of your medical report or maternity leave certificate (also valid for the other parent) to baby@iberia.es. Once we have verified your document, we will destroy it for your safety and will send you an email confirming the renewal of your card level.

This benefit does not apply to Platino cards obtained through criteria different to the programme's standard criteria based on the flights or Elite Points accumulated.

The application period is from the date of the medical report confirming your pregnancy until six months after the birth of your child, the court ruling in cases of adoption or guardianship, or the date of the administrative or court decision in cases of fostering.

We offer you the possibility of buying a seat in Business or Economy on Iberia flights (classes I/V) and Iberia Regional Air Nostrum (class I/S) if the number of seats that can be charged to Avios has been filled. You will have to pay double the number of Avios that this leg in the chosen class would cost you.

Now, as an Iberia Plus Oro customer, if you get off a flight* that lasted more than 4 hours, you can enjoy an exclusive new space when you arrive at Madrid-Barajas airport's Terminal 4.
