Columbus Theatre

National Historical Heritage site.

Many believe that this theatre is a place to visit at least once in your lifetime. Anybody affiliated with opera, theatre, music and dance will not be able to resist a visit here. Located between the Obelisk on 9th of July Avenue and Lavalle Square, it is over one hundred years old and was declared a National Historic Heritage site in 1989. This building has some of the best acoustics in the world, along with the Milan Scala and the Opera in Paris. This has given it international acclaim, making it an emblem of the arts. Today, it is the city’s best representative of its love for the performing arts. It is difficult not to be tempted into the building to watch a performance, as it offers daily events, making it a great evening option. Its vast array of shows includes all kinds of artistic styles, tastes and prices. Some tickets are more exclusive, whereas others are much cheaper, and, depending on the event, tickets are often free on some days. We highly recommend booking your ticket in advance.
