A word to define the inland's beautiful ecosystem? Spectacular!
Orography, flora, fauna, landscapes...
In the town of Tejeda, at the very centre of the island, Roque Nublo stands magnificently as one of the most extraordinary parks in Gran Canaria. It's one of those stunning images that you can only be able to enjoy here. The park forms part of the ecosystem that feeds a large part of the island since there is an important aquifer underground, and it's located right in the centre of the reserve next to a volcanic crater. Its monolithic rocks exceed 70 metres tall in some cases. In addition, if you are keen on bird watching, Roque Nublo is very interesting from an ornithological point of view, as it's home to very beautiful and unique species. The same can be said of the plant life with numerous endemic species that are worth examining. Make the most of your visit to the island by going to places beyond the beaches, as there are many landscapes that will leave you stunned - and this is one of them.
