Rub shoulders with the locals - and pick up some very cool merchandise, from food items to home décor and beyond.
A regular indoor market adds an outdoor bazaar three days a week.
Housed in an edifice dating from the early 20th century, the market on Plaça Pere Garau is Palma's most traditional, open daily except Sunday. Then on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays the square out front also becomes an outdoor bazaar with a funky, eclectic atmosphere, with more than 100 stalls hawking all kinds of merchandise and plenty of people browsing it all. Its strengths are clothing, crafts and flowers, but there's also a lot in the way of foodstuffs and home decor. Whether or not you're looking to buy something, you'll enjoy this very local experience.
