When your plane lands in Valencia, you'll enjoy a Mediterranean climate of mild winters and hot summers, with an average annual temperature of 17ºC that never falls below 10º except for very rare occasions.

There is little rainfall, mainly occurring in the autumn and at the beginning of April. The climate is predominantly sunny, with bright clear days ideal for strolling through the streets and discovering everything the city has to offer

Iberia flies to Valencia International Airport (IATA code: VLC), also known as Manises Airport, which is situated 10 kilometres west of Valencia and approximately 15 minutes from the city centre.

To reach the airport by car, take the A-3 and V-11. If you prefer to use public transport, there is a taxi service as well as buses every 30 minutes (the journey to the city centre takes 40 minutes) and a metro every 5 or 10 minutes (lines 3 and 5 from the ground floor of the regional hall, journey time approximately 20 minutes) to Xátiva station in the centre, just a few minutes walk from the Nord railway station.

When your plane lands in Valencia, you'll be able to enjoy an unforgettable range of the finest food: Start the day with a hearty “almorzaret”, the Valencian brunch, then head to El Saler for an authentic paella in a fantastic setting while you enjoy the light and panoramic views that recall the "costumbrista" landscapes and Mediterranean spirit of Sorolla's seascapes. Later on, as afternoon turns to evening... Nothing like an "horchata con fartons", or a cold tiger nut drink with sweet pastries for dipping. And since one should never skip a meal, you can finish your culinary marathon by dining on an assortment of light seafood tapas or, if you have the appetite, a delicious "suquet de peix" fish stew. It's your choice... Take a flight to Valencia and savour traditional dishes like “All i Pebre”, made from eels freshly caught in the Albufera lagoon, "Cocido de Nadal" (Christmas broth) and "L’Olleta", a pork and bean stew. And that's not to mention the delicious fruit and internationally acclaimed vegetables... A paradise for the palate awaits you.
