A short stroll south of the Piazza Maggiore, Bologna's high fashion central is Piazza Cavour, whose surrounding streets comprise one of this city's poshest districts (the other two are Via d'Azeglio and the Corte Isolani area). Here you can find not only flagship boutiques of Italian and international brands such as Versace and Tommy Hilfiger, but also workshops of excellent local designers. On the other side of Via Luigi Carlo Farini, you'll find the Galleria Cavour, a modern shopping centre of modest size but packed with relentlessly upmarket shops, especially clothing, jewelry, and accessories of all kinds.
