This Hindu temple is part of the city's Houses of Worship Route.
A key element of Melilla's religious diversity.
Though Melilla's Hindu community barely reaches a hundred individuals, it enjoys an amply proportioned house of worship, either for prayer or simply socialising. Located on Avenida de Castelar, it's housed in a small building filled with images of various deities, symbolic figures, and decorative objects. Together with the Or Zarug Synagogue and various Christian churches, it forms part of the city's Houses of Worship Route, an interesting guided tour which includes basic explanations of all the religions and rites practiced in the city by representatives thereof. The tour is free of charge, but must be booked ahead of time at the city's tourist office, and group sizes are limited to 50 persons.
