The most common eateries of all throughout the entire country are called sodas. Yes, fizzy soft drinks are sold here, but it's really all about good, solid local fare at very popular prices (as in a meal often costs no more than £5/7USD). That fare includes the likes of rice, beans, plantains, beef, chicken, corn tortillas, and pico de gallo, usually accompanied by fruit juices and shakes, and perhaps cold beer.
