On Rue du Loup in the heart of Bordeaux, this cosy corner with excellent service serves generous portions of gourmet fare at fair prices, its main dishes ranging from 17 to 22 euros. The "gastronomique" prix-fixe menu offers, in addition to cheese and dessert, a choice two or three mains such as cuttlefish ravioli with coriander and Italian-style salad with prosciutto and parmesan, accompanied by tartines of candied tomato and tomato-basil sorbet. And there's plenty more where that comes from (desserts are superb, so by all means leave room!). Reservations recommended.
