Iberia and Iberia Express, the most punctual airlines
According to May figures published by FlightStats.
In May, 96.1% of Iberia flights reached their destination on time. This makes us the world's most punctual global airline. Last month, Iberia Express also made it to the highest podium for low-cost punctuality: 97.3% of its arrivals were on time.
These results reflect the commitment and dedication of all Iberia and Iberia Express workers during the most challenging time of the pandemic, and they are also a sign of the gradual recovery of our activity.
Leaders in punctuality
Iberia's position at the top of punctuality league is fast becoming a trend. In 2016 and 2017 we were the world's most punctual airline, in 2018 we were named the third most punctual airline in Europe, and in 2019 we made it to the second slot in Europe and the fifth slot in the world league.
Meanwhile, Iberia Express held on to the top slot for five years (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018) as the world's most punctual low-cost airline. In 2019 it came in top of the European league and made it to the fourth slot in the world ranking.
