The Royal Galician Academy is the institution which promotes Galicia's language and culture, and its headquarters is currently located in the family manse of the novelist, essayist, and journalist Emilia Pardo Bazán (1851-1921) at Calle Tabernas 11. Within this beautiful stone pile you'll also find the home-museum devoted to this author and her work. With regard to the Royal Galician Academy, you'll find here a library, newspaper room and archives, as well as the secretariat, consultation room and the auditorium.
