Woods, zoo, and funpark, right at each other's doorsteps
A quality quartet
Actually an extension of the Jardí Túria park which follows Valencia's old riverbed, this 334,000-square-metre (83-acre) expanse is divided into four areas: the riverside woodland; the overlook; an amusement park; and the Bioparc zoo (covered elsewhere in this guide). We'd recommend starting in the woodsy bit, with its peaceful trails and footpaths for strolling and biking - which will lead you to the overlook at the park's highest point, offering bucolic views out over the greenery and lakes.
