North End
If you’re looking for a good place to stop off when exploring the city, take a look around this fascinating part of town.
A district with a difference
As the oldest neighbourhood in Boston, a stroll around the North End offers a very special experience. Dating back to 1630, it is known locally as Little Italy since this is where most of the city’s Italian immigrants traditionally came to live. The North End is a lively and unique neighbourhood, with a huge range of all kinds of shops and attractions. To find a place for lunch or dinner, a good cup of coffee or for doing a bit of shopping, check out the website www.northendboston.com. Interestingly, the North End is also home to the narrowest house in Boston, at less than three metres wide! You’ll find it at 44 Hull Street.
