For a lovely outing, browsing galleries and crafts stands and enjoying food, drink, and music in a festive atmosphere, check out this pedestrian street.
A quaint Santa Tecla lane turned charming, artsy destination.
Relatively short but sweet, one of the more artsy, atmospheric streets in San Salvador runs through Santa Tecla from the Palacio Tecleño arts centre to El Cafetalón Park. Mostly pedestrian, it's lovely for browsing galleries and crafts stalls, as well as stopping off at its various cafés and restaurants for coffee, drinks, a bite, and a listen to live music. Locals love to come here to hang out, and you'll find them here in force in the afternoons and on weekend evenings, when the street is also taken over by food stands.
