Cossío's residence.
The Tudanca mansion was the residence in Cantabria of the Valladolid writer José María de Cossío. Here he wrote works about the region and welcomed friends and writers such as Giner de los Ríos, Miguel de Unamuno, Miguel Hernández and Rafael Alberti. You can take a guided tour of the house and see its extensive library. Among its more than 18,000 volumes, you can find manuscripts and documents by authors from the Generation of 1927. The village of Tudanca is located about fifty kilometres from Santander, in the Nansa River valley. It has been declared a site of historical and artistic interest.
