Sponsored by the island government, FEDAC (Foundation for Ethnography and the Development of Canarian Artisanry) promotes traditional handicrafts and folk arts in a variety of ways, and also operates a pair of shops where visitors can buy beautiful crafts of the highest quality and authenticity. The Tienda de Artesanía Tradicional is located in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria at Calle Domingo J. Navarro 7, while down in Maspalomas the other outlet is at the Centro Insular de Turismo, Avenida de España at the corner of Avenida de los Estados Unidos. You'll have a wide choice of ceramics, dolls, glasswork, jewelry, lace, metalwork, ornamental knives, shoes, traditional dress, weaving, woodwork, and more from the island's best craftspeople.
