It is advisable to take a look at their program: their exhibitions are temporary, but always provide a sea of interest.
Welcome to Bogota's art block. To get there from Plaza Bolivar, go west along Calle 11. You will instantly recognize the building by its modernity. After opening in 2004, this became the jewel in the area's cultural crown by uniting the neighbouring museums of Casa de la Moneda, Botero and the Luis Angel Arango library. Unlike these, this museum's exhibitions are always temporary. Even so, this is the city's cultural epicentre. It is well worth taking a closer look at the program, since there is usually something attractive to see. Apart from this, they also exhibit pieces from Banco de la República's art collection. However, the entire collection can be seen in the Casa de la Moneda. Here a history of art from colonial painting and sculpture until Botero awaits you.
