Botero Museum

Pleasant and free of charge.

Don't be fooled by the sober and austere exterior of the building because the interior is a journey of colour. This museum, near the Plaza Bolivar, is a good place to visit when you want to rest awhile. You don't need spend too much time here, it depends on your passion for art. In fact, it can be a good place to retreat to several times over several days: it is a pleasant place and entrance is free. In any case, you have to go in at least once to admire the more than 120 works that Fernando Botero gifted to the Republic. The creator is the most iconic painter and sculptor in Colombia. Moreover, the motifs in his works are another way to become more familiar with the country's culture. The museum also has a complementary section containing works by international artists such as Monet, Renoir and Dali.
