Discover Colombia's Pacific Coast
Look out for the baby humpbacked whale in Bahía Malaga. Its awesome!
The Pacific Ocean coast is one of the best kept secrets of the Valle del Cauca region. It is divided into two areas, the jungle plains and the coastline, each of them with its own special charm; there are also two stand out places: Buenaventura and Bahía Málaga. The first is noteworthy because it is the most important port on the Colombian Pacific coast, because it is a place where the jungle and the sea meet and because the beaches are to die for, picture postcard perfect; it will be an easy place to fall in love with. In addition, you can dive on the islands of Lampelo and Gorgona and swim through shoals of fish; Bahía Málaga is the place chosen by humpbacked whales to bring up their young between August and November, which provides visitors with an amazing natural spectacle, a pleasure for the senses. The Uramba National Park is the cherry on the cake: beautiful beyond description.
