When you have finished shopping, take the opportunity to go to one of the classic Chicago restaurants and try their speciality dishes.
The pig is king.
After shopping on The Magnificent Mile you could stop at this small, reasonably-priced, local restaurant which offers artisanal food with pork being a speciality. It has a wide variety of wines and it is worth waiting if there is a queue (you cannot book a table). Also try out their delicious cold meats and the cheese that they make in collaboration with several local chefs. The service is excellent and the best dishes are fried pork with almonds and garlic, the healthy salads and the heavenly pig’s ear. We recommend that you leave room to try the house specialities, the lemon tart or the Panino con Nutella. Interesting and useful information is that from Sunday to Thursday the kitchen is open until midnight, and on Friday and Saturday, until one in the morning.
